Course Description

Further Music's Summer Program--Learn Piano In 5 days! This mini piano camp is designed for beginner students to learn piano in 5 days. We will teach basic foundations about the piano, including sight-reading, rhythm, hand position, music theory and music terms. Students will be able to read music and play piano songs with both hands in 8 days! No prior experience is needed. Each student will be equipped with their own individual piano/digital piano offered by our facilities and have more than enough hands-on experience. They will learn a variety of songs that will be practiced each day in class. Through singing and playing, students will be able to learn music at a comfortable pace. The daily class combines lectures, games, mini recitals and practice within three-hour lessons. The teacher will do individual assessments for each student throughout the course of the class. NEW: On the final day of the camps, the campers will take a field trip to world-class music and art venues like:  New York Philharmonic (David Geffen Hall) The Metropolitan Opera (Met Opera House) New York City Ballet (David H. Koch Theater) Lincoln Center Theater (Vivian Beaumont Theater) Chamber Music Society (Alice Tully Hall) Carnegie Hall The Juilliard School * The stops vary depending on the venue's availability.  This rare, exclusive, and fantastic tour will provide campers with a behind-the-scenes perspective and allow them to explore iconic art organizations.  By completing this course, students will become well prepared with the necessary basics for beginner piano playing and will easily transition from group lessons to private or semi-private piano lessons. 4 Students Per Camp 9AM- 12PM , with Scheduled below: 7/7/25 Monday 9am -12pm 7/8/25 Tuesday 9am -12pm 7/9/25 Wednesday 9am -12pm 7/10/25 Thursday 9am -12pm 7/11/25 Friday Field Trip 9am -12pm The camp will meet in person at Lower Manhattan Location.
